Loizzi Law Offices is pleased to announce an $800,000 settlement for a 78 year old woman who sat in a chair at a retail store which collapsed causing her to fall and strike her head on the store floor. Client told store employees she was ok but several days later developed symptoms consistent with a traumatic brain injury. The case began with a denial of responsibility and a zero offer from the insurance company.
The defense claimed that the fall was unwitnessed, that there was nothing wrong with the chair in question, and finally that our client was not injured. When Loizzi Law Offices was hired by the client we immediately filed a lawsuit and immediately began preparing the case for trial. This meant hiring four different expert witnesses who would testify on behalf of the client. The first expert was retained to prove that the store was negligent and additional three expert witnesses were hired to establish the extent of the injuries suffered by the client.
